Privacy Policy
I understand how important your privacy is. I take care to maintain your confidentiality in accordance with current data protection laws (GDPR 2018) and the ethical guidelines of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. These guidelines have been set up to protect your confidential material and ensure that I always conduct myself with professionalism and integrity.
To provide you with the best service possible I will hold your personal contact details and records of your therapy sessions in secure password protected files.

Your Personal Information
I use the secure, encrypted password protected practice management platform WriteUpp to collect and store your data. Your contact information is stored securely and only accessed by me.
I will need to keep a record of your name and client reference number for seven years after completion of therapy. After this time it will be deleted from the database.
I will never pass your contact details on to a third party or use your details for anything other than the counselling services I supply.

Your Therapy Sessions
Everything you discuss with me is confidential with the exception of impending risk or legal requirement.
I discuss my clinical work with a professional supervisor to ensure that I am offering the best service possible.
Details discussed during counselling remains confidential. Any other information requires your written consent.

Communications and Data Usage.
My e-mail use the Gmail server and is password protected. If you send an email to me only I have access to it.
Although I will usually only use your contact details for the purpose of arranging appointments there may also be an occasion when I need to share information with you that is pertinent to the therapeutic process.
